The Charatan Family Foundation supports Foundations that help those waiting for organ and tissue transplants, those impacted by addition, those with liver disease, breast cancer, and more. With this help, we hope to influence the development of new treatments, cures, and lifelines so all New Yorkers can live longer, healthier lives.
Kidney & Urology Foundation
Kidney & Urology Foundation of America (KUFA) is an organization dedicated to helping people with kidney and urologic diseases and individuals waiting for organ and tissue transplants. KUFA focuses on patient support, concerns of those at risk, education for the community and medical professionals, methods of prevention, and improved treatment options.
Caron Foundation
Caron aims to transform lives impacted by addiction and substance use through proven, comprehensive and personalized behavioral healthcare solutions. The Foundation is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, gender-specific behavioral health and addiction programming, while treating patients and families with the respect they deserve.
Kellner Pediatric Liver Foundation
The mission of the Kellner Family Pediatric Liver Disease Foundation is to reduce the incidence of pediatric liver disease through research, awareness and education and to promote awareness of organ donation. With the help of its donors, the Foundation has saved lives while promoting awareness of pediatric liver disease and organ donation.
Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation
SWCRF finances cross-institutional research to help develop new cancer therapies and, ultimately, find cures. Focusing on both cures and prevention, the Foundation has championed a collaborative approach, endowing researchers with shared resources and tools that develop cures faster.
The Ellen Hermanson Foundation
The Ellen Hermanson Foundation ensures access to state-of-the-art breast health care and empowers people affected by cancers. It focuses on two main areas: educational outreach about the importance of early detection; and services that address the range of issues facing patients, survivors, spouses, families, and friends.
