Jewish Initiative Organizations We Support:

New York City is home to 1.1 million Jewish people, and has historically been a home for our people since before New York was New York, when Jews first settled in New Amsterdam. Since that time it has been not just a home, but a refuge for WWII refugees and Holocaust survivors who found religious freedom in a new land.

It may be impossible to support every Synagogue that keeps New York City’s Jewish communities thriving and connected, but through the advocacy of select Jewish Foundations, Museums, schools and institutions, the Charatan Family Foundation seeks to protect and further the wonderful legacy of Judaism and its participants.
